When Ali Comes to Town!

We are so glad that our good family friend (who we claim as Aunt Ali) came to visit us! We went on lots of adventures and made sure we were plenty tired at the end of each day.

We went into New York City on three different days to see all the key tourist sites. We definitely ate well (surprise, surprise) and we walked a whole bunch. We made stops at Grey's Papaya for a hot dog, LeVain Bakery for delicious cookies, Sigmund's for the best fancy pretzels, Juniors for cheesecake and Shake Shack for burgers and shakes.  I think I've successfully converted Ali to loving the New York City vibe.

Lewis wasn't too happy when we pulled him away from the window to take a picture

We also wanted to explore some of New Jersey so we headed down to Cape May for a day and had fun getting to know that cute town. McKay and I even picked out our future house there. They have a free Zoo so we made that our first stop. We had a fantastic lunch at Empanada Mama's and got treats at the Peanut Butter Co. I love quaint little towns and when they are near water it makes them even better. We walked down the Boardwalk at Wildwood beach even though it was deserted from the chilly weather. We had to end our day with some friend Oreos which we heard were a New Jersey original treat at the beaches.

I totally want to buy this house! I love the charm of it.
We decided this should be Ali's new Tinder profile picture :)

We took another day to visit Princeton Campus (which is gorgeous) and then continued on to Philadelphia. Of course our first stop was to get an authentic Philly Cheesesteak sandwich from Pat's. Let me just say, it's worth getting the cheese whiz on the sandwich. We then visited the key tourist sites on Philadelphia.

We love having visitors and had a blast showing Ali around the East Coast. Who wants to come next?
